Mayme's fascination with the "little things" began at an early age in Birmingham, Alabama, where she fashioned "rooms" from discarded shoe boxes, scraps of her mother's fabrics and chopped up Architectural Digest magazines. This obsession with decorative delights blossomed into her life's work. Indeed, it IS the little things that make living so grand.
